Jim Jones Challenges Lil Yachty to a Drip-Off After Backlash Over New York Fashion Comment

We’ve got ourselves a drip-off! Well, maybe.

Jim Jones has issued a $1,000 fit challenge to Lil Yachty following his criticisms about New York fashion last month. The Bronx native proposed he and Yachty meet up in either New York or Atlanta in their best fit where a winner will be determined.

We now await a response from Yachty.

The challenge comes after Lil Boat claimed on his podcast, A Safe Place, that Atlanta is at the forefront of culture and influence. The Georgia native moved onto his feelings about New York fashion, which ruffled a few feathers.

“You just said even like the influence was extremely heavy from Atlanta,” he said. “As far as style goes, I don’t think it’s shit going on when it comes to New York fashion.”

Among those bothered by his comments about New York fashion and publicly spoke out were Juelz Santana and Fivio Foreign.

Yachty later addressed the backlash, saying his words were misconstrued while also apologizing to people from The Bronx “if they felt some kinda way.” In the same video, Lil Boat asserted his remarks were never meant to disrespect New York culture before name-dropping Wu-Tang and Dipset as the GOATs of fashion.
