The jokes and compliments flew over Jalen Hurts viral outfit over the weekend.

On Sunday (Jan. 26), the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback made his way into the Eagles-Commanders NFC Championship game while wearing a black Kangol, beige trousers with a black belt and gold buckle and Louis Vuitton black. With Hurts drawing a resemblance to 1990s actors Allen Payne (particularly his Gee Money character in New Jack City) and Shemar Moore, social media was divided in the look, some even joking about the footballer’s ’90s fine’ appeal.

Others complimented the outfit, with one user even alluding to Hurts’ look being “distinguished” beyond traditional menswear.

But where Hurts’ fashion got attention on Sunday, his knee injury was also a topical matter, although he performed well, with the Eagles winning 23-55. Earlier this month, Hurts suffered an injury due to an awkwardly bending his left knee in the second half of the Eagles-Rams match.

The Eagles will next compete against the Kansas City Chiefs during the Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

“It’s amazing how much doubt there is,” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said on Sunday, per The Atlantic.

On Hurts, Sirianni continued, “We just continue to win. He’s just continued to win. And I think the criticism is, yeah, whatever. He just wins.”
