Jordan Brand is reportedly revisiting its “Rare Air” Air Jordan 4 series with an upcoming 2025 release.
According to sneaker leakers Sneaker Files and @zSneakerheadz on Instagram, a new Air Jordan 4 donning a “Black/Fire Red/Deep Royal Blue/Dark Smoke Grey” color scheme will arrive in mid-February. The sneaker is expected to feature a removable velcro tongue patch that features the text “Jordan Rare Air” underneath. Additionally, the pair is expected to include the Michael Jordan face box that came with Jordan retros in the mid-2000s.
The “Rare Air” series of Air Jordan 4s was introduced in the mid-2000s. The “Tour Yellow” pair also featured the removable patch.
Currently, release details for the new “Rare Air” Air Jordan 4 have yet to be confirmed by Jordan Brand. According to the aforementioned accounts, the style will arrive on Feb. 15, 2025.

UPDATE (12/04): Thanks to @Eldenmonitors on X, we now have retail photos of the upcoming “Rare Air” Air Jordan 4. The images show that this colorway not only features a removable velcro patch on the tongue but “Rare Air” branding on the insoles. As of now, this style is slated to drop on Feb. 15.
